Irish Pony Club News

The Tetrathlon Committee of the Irish Pony Club are delighted to announce that the 2019 National Minimus Championships will be held at Millstreet Green Glens Arena on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of June 2019.

The Green Glens Arena in Millstreet is one of Ireland's premier event venues.  We are very excited to be holding our Minimus Championships in this facility, which has hosted numerous World and European championship level sporting fixtures.  Thank you to Thomas Duggan and the Duggan Family for their kind permission in allowing us to use their facilities.

Punchestown proved to be a super venue for the Minimus Championships for the past three years and we hope that Millstreet will follow suit, offering a wonderful experience for all of our young members.  The cross country riding phase, the running phase and the prize giving will all take place in Millstreet while the swimming phase is provisionally booked for Mallow Swimming Pool.  Exact details and times will be published as they are confirmed.  As usual the cross country riding will take place on Saturday 15th of June, while the swimming, running and prize giving will go ahead on Sunday 16th of June.

Stabling and camping will be available in Millstreet.  Booking details will be published on the IPC website over the next few weeks.

The Irish Pony Club is privileged to be given permission to hold our championships in Millstreet.  Preparation and planning for the finer details of the event will now begin in earnest.  We look forward with anticipation to welcoming all of our Minimus competitors to Millstreet in June.
