National Tetrathlon Championships 2019 - Entries NOW OPEN

The Irish Pony Club Tetrathlon Championships will take place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August 2019.

The entries for this championship are now OPEN on your Branch Its Plain Sailing page.  The closing date for Branches to submit their entries to the Irish Pony Club is Thursday 8th August 2019.  Please check with your Branch to identify your individual Branch closing date.

Points to Note:

  • The schedule in August between the Eventing and the Tetrathlon Championships is very tight.  All competitors who wish to attend the National Tetrathlon Championships must be entered before Thursday 8th August.
  • Before registering your entry for the National Tetrathlon Championships, check the details and abbreviation of the gun that your son or daughter will be using at the championships with your Branch.  It is very important that the correct gun is selected from the drop down menu for your son or daughter.  This information is used in the creation of the shoot details and errors can cause disruption to the preparation of the final shoot detail information.
  • Similary, when typing in the information on the championship entry form for your son or daughter, please enter the information in sentance casing as you would like to see it typed in the programme (Not in complete block capitals.)
  • Also, enter the name of your pony or horse as it appears on your passport on the entry form, not the pet or stable name for your pony or horse.
  • Finally, please check the swim lengths and swim metres that you type into the entry form.  Ensure that they are in the correct format. i.e. 4 lengths and 24 metres NOT 124 metres.
  • Corrections to these areas cause a significant delay in the production of the Branch Sorted Order for publication on the IPC website.
  • Numbers bibs for the cross country phase may be collected from the Secretaries Office at the Shooting Phase on Saturday 24th August between 9am and 12 noon and before the Cross Country phase which will take place on Sunday 25th August.
    • It is recommended that Branches appoint ONE person to collect all of the Branch numbers and distribute them to the members of your Branch at the championships.
    • The Tetrathlon Rule Book is available to download from the Downloads page of the IPC website: https://irishponyclub.ie/index.php/downloads
