Welcome to the Return of Irish Pony Club Activities
As we now begin a return to Branch activities and as the Government road map unfolds, returning to other Irish Pony Club activities.
I must STRESS it is everyone’s duty to help, co-operate and uphold protocol and guidelines, to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in our organisation and the greater community.
Ensuring compliance is everyone’s responsibility and the role of the Covid-19 Compliance officer is to help and support all. The instructions given MUST be followed. People who flout the protocol and guidelines will be asked to leave. During the course of holding our activities we will be visiting other people’s property. It is important that the owner and property be respected at all times.
The Irish Pony Club Health and Safety committee have made every effort to produce a set of protocols and guidelines that allow us to return to activities and enjoy what we do. However, social distancing, hand washing and sanitisation MUST be observed for the unforeseeable future. These protocols are intended to help and prevent the spread of Covid-19 and cross-contamination.
Traceability is very important should a spike happen and a log of ALL people attending MUST be kept and made available if required by the Irish Pony Club Health and Safety committee and the Health and Safety Authority. You must be willing to give your details to assist with this as a condition of attending any activity.
While the Government has moved to Phase 2 and relaxed some items and travel restrictions, I believe best practice is to follow the guidelines issued by the Irish Pony Club Health and Safety committee. Step 2 will be reviewed in ten days where best practice will be discussed for the Irish Pony Club.
I ask you all to co-operate in a courteous and sporting manner because non-compliance will result in hefty penalties without appeal.
All people attending may or will be asked to complete a questionnaire and could have to undergo a temperature check. Please bring all rubbish home and dispose of it carefully and responsibly.
I hope you all enjoy the return to activity, have fun, laughter and good sport with the Irish Pony Club.
Irish Pony Club Health and Safety Committee Chairman
