Congratulations to Successful A Test Candidates Lydia Dawson and Sadhbh Gannon
The Irish Pony Club A Test was held last week on Wednesday 29th August in Clonshire Equestrian Centre.
The A Test is the highest award of the Irish Pony Club and provides a comprehensive examination in horsemanship and training young horses for senior members and associates. Four Irish Pony Club members applied for this years test and travelled to Clonshire to complete this difficult and challenging examination.
Two members, Sadhbh Gannon from Meath Hunt Branch and Lydia Dawson from Ward Union Branch successfully passed the test. Lydia passed with honours. They received their badges and certificates from examiners, William Blane and Vicki McDonald, who travelled from England to conduct the examination. The Irish Pony Club has conducted this test in collaboration with examiners from the UK for many years and it has proved very successful. We are very grateful for the professionalism and neutrality of the examiners, who ensure that the high standards of the A Test are fulfilled and adhered to each year.
Congratulations to both Sadhbh and Lydia. Well done to your Branches, Instructors, parents and families for helping you to accomplish this wonderful achievement. We wish you both the very best of luck in all of your future equestrian activities. To those candidates who were unsuccessful this year, we hope that the experience gained on the day and in your training towards the test will give you the encouragement try again in 2019.
