A Pony Club Success Story

IPC Bertram Allen

Irish Pony Club member Bertram Allen & Misty competing for the Island Branch at the All Ireland Pony Club Mounted Games in 2005.

"My sister Grace and I had great times with the Island Pony Club . The games were very competitive but great fun. We all learnt so much about the importance of team work." - Bertram Allen

Bertram followed his passion for riding and pursued a career in show jumping. He soon became one of Ireland's top riders and he is currently ranked number 7 in the world - a fantastic achievement.

The photo above shows Bertram competing on Molly Malone V at the World Equestrian Games 2014 in Caen, France.

Musical Ride Misty

Misty continues successfully competing in Pony Club competitions. This photo shows Misty in 2014 with Freddie Ronan (Killinick Harriers Hunt Branch) show-casing their winning Musical Ride display at the Curragh Racecourse. Freddie has cerebral palsy and Misty has been a great help to him.

You can watch a video of the Killinick Branch 2015 winning ride on our Musical Ride page.
