Well Done to all the IPC members who travelled to the UKPC Championships at
Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire last weekend.

Good Luck also to our Tetrathletes who travel to Bishop Burton College, East Yorkshire
(home of the European 3 day Event Championship Course)

Derby Competition

New Derby Competition taking place
on Saturday 30th August 2014

This competition will comprise of three Classes
1. Warm up Special over 90cm shortened Derby course
2. 90cm Full Derby Course
3. 1.00m Full Derby Course

The Irish Pony Club is a Voluntary Youth Organisation.
It is the main equestrian organisation that provides training in all disciplines of equestrian activities in this Country for
members up to the age of 23.

The Irish Pony Club endeavours to promote and encourage horsemanship and loyalty in a safe and fun atmosphere,
for all its members and volunteers.

The objectives of the Irish Pony Club are:

  • To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding.

  • To provide instruction in riding and horsemanship, and to instil in members the proper care of their animals.

  • To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self-discipline.


Open to boys and girls up to 23 years of age
Ordinary members are those who have not attained the age of 18 years
Associate members are those of 18 - 21 years
Senior Associate members are 21 - 23 years.
Membership automatically terminates at the end of the year when a members becomes 23 years old with
the exception of those who renew their membership to take Senior Tests up to and including the year in which
they are 25 years old.


The current annual subscription per members is €95
